Water Resources Engineer

The primary duties of the Water Resources Engineer would be to analyze and evaluate technical elements of Everglades restoration projects and identify appropriate structural and non-structural elements of projects needed to achieve successful restoration. The Water Resources Engineer will be expected to have advanced knowledge of Everglades hydrology, hydraulics and application of regional scale models. The Water Resources Engineer will be responsible for conducting hydrologic investigations to assess the effects of proposed plans on the Everglades ecosystem and provide recommendations to improve the proposed management actions.

The Water Resources Engineer supports The Everglades Foundation staff by providing concise recommendations based on a variety of scientific assessments and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling outputs, while investigating Everglades restoration projects. Director of Development, Southwest Florida

The Director of Development for Southwest Florida will be an individual with a rich development background, who has had progressive and successful development experience including annual and major gifts and who has a strong track record of successful management. The ideal candidate cares deeply about the development profession and has worked in organizations with a very sophisticated donor base.

Reporting to and working in close collaboration with the Vice President of Development (VP), the Director of Development will design and execute a comprehensive development strategy for the Everglades Foundation in Southwest Florida, including Collier and Lee Counties. The Director will oversee the management of the Naples office, plan and execute ongoing fundraising efforts and activities including the annual ForEverglades Naples benefit, expanding the donor base, increase visibility and awareness on behalf of the Foundation. Director of Marketing & Communications

The Director of Marketing and Communications will serve as the principal communications liaison to position the Foundation as the premier organization promoting the mission of advancing Everglades restoration. Communicating our science-based research, work and potential impacts is essential to gain governmental and public support. The Director of Marketing and Communications will develop overall messaging strategy and content delivery through a wide variety of channels. Including the development of briefing sheets, white papers, speeches, PowerPoint decks, bylined articles, and multimedia productions to effectively reach various constituencies. Administrative Assistant

Under direct supervision of the Director of Administration, the Administrative Assistant provides administrative and secretarial support through a variety of tasks related to organization and office operations. The Administrative Assistant performs general office duties such as answering phones, receiving visitors, typing, filing, scheduling, financial record keeping, payroll, coordination of meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies, coordinating direct mailings, and working on special projects. The Administrative Assistant answers non-routine correspondence, works with and assembles confidential and sensitive information, and communicates with management, staff, board members, donors, vendors, and other clients and customers via phone and email, while maintaining a friendly, warm, and professional demeanor.
