Marketing & Digital Media Coordinator

The Marketing & Digital Media Coordinator supports the mission of The Everglades Foundation by communicating key messages to target audiences using a variety of media vehicles. The Media Coordinator reports to the Director of Marketing & Communications and works with The Foundation CEO, staff scientists, Development office, outside consultants and governmental affairs teams to develop and implement strategies and tactics to meet Foundation goals, increase visibility and build brand reputation. The main mission of this position is to help provide a consistent, proactive communications message, in concert with outside counsel and consultants, to enhance The Foundation’s brand and build awareness of the overall mission.

The Marketing & Digital Media Coordinator will support the day-to-day communications needs of The Foundation, both external and internal, and will execute the earned/owned/paid media strategy. Director of Leadership Giving 

The Director of Leadership Giving is an individual with a rich development background in organizations with a sophisticated donor base and proven success in raising major gifts of $100,000+.
 The Director will support the fundraising goals of The Foundation with broad knowledge of the principles of fundraising and is able to participate in all aspects of the gift cycle: to initiate contacts with potential donors; develop appropriate cultivation strategies, including working with volunteers and board members; move potential donors in an appropriate and timely fashion toward solicitation; personally make solicitations; and maintain stewardship contacts with donors.

The Director of Leadership Giving takes initiative and actively seeks to deepen current donor relationships and to forge new ones. The Director will plan, lead, and manage development projects, coordinate with peers to achieve desired outcomes, and track and report progress to senior managers and the Board of Directors.

Reporting to and working in close collaboration with the Vice President of Development (VP), the Director of Leadership Giving will design and execute a comprehensive major gift development strategy for The Everglades Foundation. The Director will plan and execute ongoing fundraising efforts and activities, expand the leadership donor base, and drive leadership giving efforts in support of the strategic plan. Director of Development

The Director of Development is a seasoned fundraising professional who will work directly with the Vice President of Development to successfully achieve mission growth through a strong and sustainable development program. The Director will support the fundraising goals of The Foundation with broad knowledge of the principles of fundraising and is able to participate in all aspects of the gift cycle: to initiate contacts with potential donors; develop appropriate cultivation strategies, including working with volunteers and board members; move potential donors in an appropriate and timely fashion toward solicitation; personally, make solicitations; and maintain stewardship contacts with donors.

The Director provides expert management of The Foundation’s strategic development plan, guides the implementation of donor strategy, programs, and communications, and executes ongoing fundraising efforts and activities. To learn more about the position, please click here.

Water Resources Engineer

The primary duties of the Water Resources Engineer would be to analyze and evaluate technical elements of Everglades restoration projects and identify appropriate structural and non-structural elements of projects needed to achieve successful restoration. The Water Resources Engineer will be expected to have advanced knowledge of Everglades hydrology, hydraulics and application of regional scale models. The Water Resources Engineer will be responsible for conducting hydrologic investigations to assess the effects of proposed plans on the Everglades ecosystem and provide recommendations to improve the proposed management actions.

The Water Resources Engineer supports The Everglades Foundation staff by providing concise recommendations based on a variety of scientific assessments and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling outputs, while investigating Everglades restoration projects.
