POSITION SUMMARY

The Digital Marketing Coordinator supports the mission of The Everglades Foundation by applying extensive marketing and social media skills to developing original media

content and maintaining a consistent brand identity for the Foundation. The Coordinator suggests creative ways to establish, build, and promote the Foundation’s online

presence and attract the public. 


In collaboration with the Communications & Engagement team and reporting to the Director of Communications, the Digital Marketing Coordinator writes, creates, and manages media content on a daily basis. The Coordinator possesses a solid understanding of how each social media channel works and how to create and optimize content so that it is engaging to various audiences. The Coordinator ensures that digital and print media, visual content, and social media provide an engaging, consistent, proactive communications message that enhances the Foundation's brand, supports its programmatic efforts, and builds awareness of its overall mission.


The Coordinator communicates with internal and external customers, printers, and vendors to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality deliverables. The Digital Marketing Coordinator is a creative and organized thinker, designer, and arranger of information with developed interpersonal and communication skills and an enthusiastic attitude.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.

  • Optimize the Foundation’s pages within each platform to increase the visibility of social content

  • Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community

  • Capture and analyze social data/metrics, insights, and best practices, and then take the appropriate steps to improve the content as needed

  • Measure web traffic and monitor search engine optimization

  • Research audience preferences and discover current trends

  • Create engaging digital content by collaborating with the graphic designer, videographer, and education, policy, and science teams

  • Stay up to date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness

  • Facilitate online conversations with the public and respond to queries

  • Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics requirements

  • Plan and execute web, email, and social media advertising campaigns

  • Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests

  • Use Wix to update existing pages and blogs and create new ones

  • Understand the Foundation's brand ideals and website to create content that supports its mission

  • Support the Communications & Engagement team by assisting with updating digital calendars, helping to maintain photo/video database, etc.

  • Attend Foundation events and/or media visits

  • Develop strategies and tactics to get the word out about the Foundation across a variety of mediums including email, direct mail, social media, website, digital ads, flyers, etc.

  • Ensure brand consistency throughout all projects and campaigns

  • Develop content and relationships with partners and influencers

  • Provide copy-editing services

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in digital marketing required

  • At least two years of professional experience or two years of relevant internship experience in digital marketing, social media, and content creation and management

  • Thorough knowledge of social media platforms, including but not limited to  Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube

  • Technical knowledge of MS Office, Canva, Later.com, Sprout, Mailchimp, Wix, and advertising platforms desired

  • Experience with social media engagement strategies and best practices

Salary

$45,000 - $50,000 commensurate with experience
