

BARBARA MCLAUGHLIN
BOARD MEMBER
Barbara McLaughlin has a long history of non-profit leadership, both professionally and as a volunteer. Currently President Emerita of The Fund for Park Avenue, the organization responsible for the trees, flowers, and annual exhibitions of public art on Park Avenue’s central medians, Barbara served as The Fund’s president for 15 years. Prior to that, Barbara held senior positions at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (Executive Director of The Society) and Christie’s auction house (VP, Special Events & Business Development).
Barbara enjoys connecting with her communities through active involvement in local organizations and clubs. After vacationing with her family in Boca Grande for many years, Barbara is now a full-time resident and member of the board of the Johann Fust Library Foundation, and was recently appointed to the Boca Grande Parking Committee.
In New York, Barbara remains active in the City Gardens Club of New York, the Cosmopolitan Club, and the Thursday Evening Club, as well as her longtime book club.
Originally from Minnesota, Barbara grew up coming to Southwest Florida (Naples) and now she and her husband, Kevin McLaughlin, co-founder of J.McLaughlin and member of the Everglades Foundation’s Advisory Council, call Boca Grande home. Barbara and Kevin have been Everglades Foundation supporters for several years, both personally and through the J.McLaughlin partnership. They have two children – Madeline, a graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park, FL and Hugh, a recent graduate of the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
