Nancy Rutter Clark is the president of The Octavia Foundation, a private foundation which supports a variety of non-profit entities including The Edible Schoolyard projects at First Line Charter Schools in New Orleans; Cook For Your Life, a cooking website for cancer patients, which was based in New York City prior to merging with The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle in 2019; The Food Lab at Drexel University in Philadelphia; New York-based Multiplying Good, which supports youth community service; BLAST (the Banner Lake After School Time) program in Banner Lake, FL; and the Institute of Contemporary Art in Miami.

Nancy served as chairman of the board for Cook for Your Life for eight years, and has been an active Everglades Foundation supporter, both personally and through Octavia, since moving to Florida from California three years ago

Prior to retiring, Nancy worked in business journalism for 32 years and taught management communications and journalism at Tulane University, Santa Clara University, Dominican College and Stanford University.
