THOMAS “TOM” N. DAVIDSON, SR

Entrepreneur, industrialist (semi-retired), Tom Davidson founded several companies including a significant plastic packaging company operating in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Subsequently he and two principal partners acquired 15 corporations, mostly subsidiaries of major oil companies including Anaconda Copper & Brass. Although most were subsequently re-sold, Mr. Davidson and his family still retain ownership of NuTech Precision Metals (a producer of nuclear reactor components.) Mr. Davidson was a director at over 20 public and private corporations, including serving as chairman of several. He was chairman of the Young Presidents Organization and the World Presidents Organization, Founding Chairman of the member-owned Ocean Reef Club, Ocean Reef Cultural Center, Ocean Reef Rod & Gun Club, and the Bonefish & Tarpon Trust. He has served on Florida Keys Marine Sanctuary Advisory Board and served as V.P. and Director of Sanctuary Friends of the Florida Keys. Mr. Davidson was recognized as Entrepreneur of the Year by the Financial Post of Canada and Plastics Industry Man of the Year by the Plastics Industry. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Baptist Health.
