
Katherine O’Fallon
Executive Director, Marine Research Hub
Katherine O’Fallon has been the executive director of the Marine Research Hub since October 2022. Up until the time of stepping into this role, Katherine served as Marine Science Magnet Coordinator and educator for 17 years with Broward County Public Schools. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology and a Master’s in Science Education from Nova Southeastern University. Katie spent much of her undergraduate work focused on coral reef ecology and then early career work in Curacao, doing research and education. Katie participates in various organizations, including the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber on both the Marine Advisory Council and Economic Resilience Council, along with the Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) Plywood Regatta committee; Leadership Broward Class XLIII, and she is a member of the Risk & Resilience Tech Hub Steering Committee.
