The Everglades Foundation's CEO, Eric Eikenberg, has been recognized again this year by Florida Trend in their 2025 Florida 500 publication highlighting the 500 most influential executives in different economic sectors across Florida.
Throughout his 13 years as CEO, Eric has led by example in his dedication to restoring and protecting America’s Everglades, earning him a spot in the Philanthropy and Non-Profits category of the publication for a second year in a row.
His leadership has helped build and maintain momentum for massive restoration projects like the EAA Reservoir, while engaging with businesses, decision-makers, scientists, educators, and communities on why Everglades restoration is critical for our state.
This year under his leadership, the Foundation led a series of events in Washington D.C. for America’s Everglades Summit, and unveiled a new economic report demonstrating the Everglades' critical economic role in Florida as a $1 trillion asset.
