Isabella Gukeisen
External Affairs Manager
As External Affairs Manager for The Everglades Foundation, Isabella Gukeisen manages the operational activities of the Policy & Engagement team, and interacts with local, regional, and national stakeholders. She oversees a broad range of activities, including managing coalition efforts, and building relationships and partnerships to advance the goals and progress of the team.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Isabella was Director of Business Development at Divers Paradise in Key Biscayne, FL., and continues to serve as a tour guide at Expedition South Florida in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Previously, she worked as a teaching assistant in Environmental Law & Policy at the University of Miami. She received a Master’s of Professional Science in Marine Conservation from the University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science, and a bachelor’s in Environmental Studies from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. She resides in Miami, and is a certified Emergency First Responder, CPR instructor, and PADI scuba instructor.
