Jeannete Rubio
Administrative Assistant
Jeannette Rubio, is an administrative assistant, with extensive experience with grant and non-profits & a love for children. Mother of 3, she has been a Florida residentfor over 20 years. Originally from the Big Apple, she moved to South Florida in search of warmer weather.
While implementing an outreach and advocacy program for migrant farm worker families, she realized that not enough was being done to help give these children a functional and fulfilling life. This caused her to work with special needs children in multiple capacities. So, she helped found a private school for underprivileged and developmentally delayed children. Through tutoring, occupational therapy, summer camps and extracurricular activities these children flourished. Many went on to graduate from high school and college.
Understanding our relationship with our environment created a passion for our natural resources and the protection of them. Her love for children has created a desire to be a vital part of the creation of a sustainable world worthy of our future generations hands.
In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, music and singing, traveling, playing with her 2 dogs, and volunteer work with her 2 younger children.
