Liz Jakeway is The Everglades Foundation’s Senior Manager, with responsibility for strategically engaging donors and supporters of all levels in concert with the Foundation’s fundraising, science, advocacy, education, and organizational priorities.

Prior to joining The Everglades Foundation, Liz served as Director of Marketing Communications for Baptist Health Foundation, where she developed and implemented integrated marketing communications plans and strategies to build brand awareness, advance the Foundation’s mission and drive donations across the organization’s four-county region.

Previously, Liz was Director of Global Corporate Communications at Celebrity Cruises, where she served as chief brand spokesperson; head of media relations; liaison with Marketing, Sales and Hotel Operations, and chief speechwriter, in addition to managing internal staff and a New York agency partner. Prior to that, she was Worldwide Public Relations Manager for Pfizer, Inc.

Liz earned a B.S. in Journalism from Butler University (Indianapolis, IN). She and her husband, Steve, have a longtime love of the water, and live in Key Biscayne, FL.
