We applaud President Trump’s FY2026 budget recommendation of $446 million to restore America’s Everglades, the largest presidential budget recommendation for Everglades restoration.
This historic funding level reflects the President’s continued recognition of America's Everglades as a national treasure — a one-of-a-kind national treasure that provides drinking water for millions of Floridians and fuels Florida’s billion-dollar tourism, fishing, and real estate industries.
If approved by Congress, this funding of $446 million will be crucial for completing restoration projects like the Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) Reservoir, the crown jewel of Everglades restoration and the critical project to reconnect the flow of freshwater from the lake to the Everglades and down to Florida Bay. The Everglades Foundation looks forward to working with the bipartisan Florida Congressional delegation to secure this critical funding.
