TEACH – UNDERSTAND – LOVE – CONSERVE

LACOSTE has proudly partnered with The Everglades Foundation since 2013 to support, educate, and promote the importance of the threatened Everglades ecosystem. In working through our latest co-branding partnership, we were inspired by a quote from Baba Dioum that states, “In the end, we will conserve only what we love, we will love only what we understand, and we will understand only what we are taught.” Thus came the inspiration for the messaging of our partnership: TEACH – UNDERSTAND – LOVE – CONSERVE.

November proved to be a very exciting month for this partnership, as we launched a co-branded polo shirt and hosted a golf tournament with proceeds from each event directly supporting our mission to protect and restore America’s Everglades.

Check out some of the details below!

On November 14, LACOSTE and The Everglades Foundation celebrated the launch of an exclusive co-branded polo shirt in cotton petit pique with an event at the Lincoln Road LACOSTE boutique. All purchases of this exclusive polo directly support The Everglades Foundation’s Everglades Literacy Program, which works to empower every Florida teacher, from kindergarten through twelfth grade, to educate their students on the importance of protecting and conserving America’s Everglades – the only habitat in the world where American crocodiles and alligators coexist. The polo shirt retails for $89.50 and is available for purchase online here.

To further promote the launch, LACOSTE hosted a gallery exhibition within their Lincoln Road boutique, with curated photographs from internationally acclaimed conservation photographer and Everglades Foundation Board Member, Mac Stone. The gallery featured striking photographs that showcase the natural beauty and diversity of the greater Everglades ecosystem, helping to tell the complex story of this wetland and wilderness through the wildlife and people who rely on them.

GOLF TOURNAMENT

On November 18, LACOSTE and The Everglades Foundation hosted a Golf Tournament at The Club at Ibis in West Palm Beach, with all proceeds from package sales directly benefitting our mission. The day included a 1-hour golf clinic with PGA winner Daniel Berger, major LPGA winner Patricia Meunier-Lebouc, and host of the School of Golf on Golf Channel, Martin Hall. A big THANK YOU to LACOSTE and all who came out to participate and help make a difference!
